- Portswood One Big Community Festival - September 11th 2010; FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE SO BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY FOR A FUN DAY OUT; On September 11th 2010 the NBSP Portswood community group will bring Portswood alive with the 1st One Big Community Charity Festival. This will be held in Portswood recreation ground, Upper Grosvenor Road SO17 1WZ between 11am to 5pm. The event is aimed at bring together the different communities and cultures of Portswood and the surrounding areas together for a day of fun packed activities and excitement for the whole family to enjoy

St Denys Community Centre re- opened in late May 2006, having undergone an extensive rebuild, and now provides a superb Community Building for everyone in and around St Denys. It is fully DDA complient. We also have the benefit of a newly built Floodlit Multi Use Games Area complete with indoor heated Shower / Changing Rooms funded by Sports England.
More volunteers are always needed. The Community Centre is a registered charity and is run by a very small friendly Committee of like minded volunteers, however due to the success of the new building & the demand for it's use we would welcome more volunteers to help with the day to day running of the centre, please contact us if you are able to help in any way.
